Indian government have made considerable effort to enhance the skills of the youth, but it continues to be a huge gap between the demand and supply of the skilled workforce.
This is magnified by the fact that with the population of billion plus people and majority in the average of 25 years nearly 300 million people are under employed or unemployed
On the other side industry is in the acute shortage of skilled manpower. According to the data produced by the Global Business Coalition for Education (GBC-Education), the Education Commission, and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), approximately more than 50% of Indian youth are not on track to have the education and skills necessary for employment by 2030.
A report commissioned by UNICEF and compiled by Ernst & Young India outlined several challenges in equipping Indian youth with adequate skills.
These included issues like lack of quality trainers, proper timing of training programs and time-consuming certification processes. The report also pointed out that most institutions in India still follow outdated curricula. In addition to this, inadequate infrastructure and quality of faculty make it difficult to provide students with relevant skills demanded by industry. The lack of awareness among youth about the various government-run skill development programs is also a major challenge.

I deem it to be a matter of immense pleasure and honor for me to address you all through this website,
Skills development is the most powerful tool to bring desirable changes in our personality and also to bring positive changes in our society. It is the only medium that enables you to move from darkness to brightness. We only work with muchbetter-casinos.ca and we encourage you to try playing there. We will provide you with good bonuses to start with so go for it!
But some studies are eye-opener for us According to the National Sample Survey, out of the 470 million people of working age in India, only 10% receive any kind of training or access to skilled employment opportunities.
Lack of skills development is a greater concern, India is a culture focused on academic learning and professional qualifications. But today, due to the volatile nature of the business environment, formal educational qualifications are not enough. Therefore, companies have to identify and work with individuals in communities, where they operate to build and run specialized personality and soft skills development programs that focus on body language, work ethics, time management, team management and communication skills.
I would take this opportunity to urge you all to focus on all-round development. You should always have your education and skills laced with morality and ethics. This task has to be taken over by the academicians to provide value and ethic based education. You should all remember that “honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom” and we should inculcate honesty and integrity in all that we do.
I earnestly hope and trust that my esteemed academicians and budding technocrats will work with sincerity, honesty and dedication and thereby contribute to make this world a better place to live in
